Red Shaydez Helps Lead Music Industry Training Camp for Aspiring Artists in Boston.

A group of aspiring musicians recently took part in a four-day specialized training camp in Mattapan, designed to equip young creatives with tools to navigate the business side of the music industry. The event was funded by the City of Boston and featured programming focused on branding, promotion, and preparation for live performance.

Boston rapper Red Shaydez played a key role in leading the event, which aimed to bridge the gap between artistry and entrepreneurship. Participants in the camp not only received guidance on marketing and brand strategy but also began preparing for upcoming performances, including one scheduled for the annual Boston Art & Music Soul Festival.

Red Shaydez later took to Instagram to reflect on the experience, sharing a clip of her being featured on CBS and PBS/GBH News, writing:
“When you’re on the news 📺 TWICE in ONE week 🥳🙌🏾 I’m humbled that CBS and PBS (@gbhnews @gbhnewsrooted) featured both me and my latest venture @_musicjumpstart 🎤”

She also acknowledged collaborators featured in the segments, including Dreana LeMaitre Photography, Cari.West, Sasa | The Artsy Archetype, Rose Love, and Lee(cia), and credited City of Boston Arts & Culture, Elite Team Logistics, and Spark FM for helping make the program possible.

The initiative is part of a growing movement in Boston to support the next generation of artists through mentorship, education, and community-driven opportunities.

No official word has been shared yet about future iterations of the training camp, but organizers signaled that more programming may be in development.
