Queen Latifah joined The Jennifer Hudson Show on Tuesday (Oct. 28) and shared her admiration for Megan Thee Stallion, calling her “so cool, so fun, so very talented and strong in her spot.” The hip-hop pioneer applauded Megan for bringing “great energy carrying hip-hop into the future.”
Latifah reflected on joining Megan on stage at Coachella earlier this year, where she performed her classic anthem “U.N.I.T.Y.” “She asked me to pop out and I was like, ‘For real? OK!’” Latifah said. “I had to bring it because this is Coachella — the people are gonna be ready.”
The night also featured Ciara and Victoria Monét as special guests. Latifah praised the show’s atmosphere, saying, “They worked so hard… it was just good energy that night.”
Before wrapping, the New Jersey legend teased new music on the way. “It’s time — I’m gonna make some time because I want to get it out there. It’s all kinds of music too,” she told Hudson.
