With its annual Thanksgiving senior luncheon and Pop-Up Grocery Market decorated in the theme of Thanksgiving, Quality Control has taken care of the Atlanta community this holiday season.
The luncheon, organized by Goodr, took place on Monday, November 21, and provided meals to 300 area seniors at Baptist Towers Senior Home.
A further 300 pre-registered families attended the pop-up market the next day, which was hosted by the label (home to Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and others), and each family received a Thanksgiving turkey and all the fixings for a full supper.
“We receive so many blessings on a daily basis and it’s important to us at QC to give back to our community and show love to those who need it,” QC CEO Pierre “Pee,” Thomas said in a statement.
“We are grateful to the heads of Quality Control for their ongoing commitment to giving back to their community,” Goodr CEO Jasmine Crowe added. “The impact we have made since our first activation is something we are very proud of at Goodr. Seniors especially hold a special place in my heart and we at Goodr look forward to bringing them some holiday spirit.”
Goodr and Quality Control have previously collaborated on projects. Pee and QC COO Kevin “Coach K” Lee gave Goodr $100,000 during the pandemic to help feed 1,000 families, and they have since teamed up to give back for the holidays.
The year has been very hectic for QC. To “find fresh talent and revolutionize artist collaborations by empowering creatives with bespoke resources, tools, and access,” the label partnered with SoundCloud in February. Along with their Solid Foundation artist management team, Pee and Coach K invested in SoundCloud as part of the agreement.
Prior to the start of 2022, they also established QC Sports, a full-service sports business that has already drawn a number of NBA, NFL, and MLB stars to its roster.
And if that weren’t enough, QC and the production company Critical Content partnered last December to create unscripted TV shows for their catalog of performers.
