Premo Discusses Career Transition, Upcoming Projects, and Future Plans.

Brooklyn’s Premo has recently gained attention for his flashy social media presence, which features everything from extravagant cash displays to outspoken rants on a variety of topics, including money and street life. Known for his controversial online antics, Premo has become a viral sensation. However, in a recent interview on Cook’N Up 215, the rising star gave fans a deeper look at the person behind the viral moments.

In a candid conversation with host Smooth, Premo reflected on his journey, his transition from the streets to legitimate business, and his plans for the future.

Born and raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Premo’s hustle began at a young age. “I started hustling in high school, with scams and dice games. It was about survival and making a way for myself,” he explained during the interview. As he ventured into these risky worlds, Premo found himself spending time in prison—spending four of his son’s seven years behind bars.

Looking back, he acknowledges the difficult years and how they’ve shaped his drive. “I’ve been through a lot, but I’m still here, working to build something real. I’m showing my son that there’s a way out if you put in the work,” he shared.

Now, Premo is fully immersed in the entertainment world. His rise in music and entertainment has been swift, and he’s already racking up impressive collaborations. The rapper recently dropped a remix featuring Benny The Butcher and has an album set to release in February. Additionally, he’s working on a movie based on his life, slated for a March release.

“I’m trying to show people that there’s more to me than what they see on Instagram. The music, the movie, it’s all part of me turning my life around,” Premo said.

Premo’s most notable performance came when he took the stage alongside Beanie Sigel in front of 20,000 people. “That was my first big show, and it felt like everything I’ve worked for was finally paying off,” he said.

Premo’s social media presence has been instrumental in his career, though he’s aware of its risks. “I know what I’m doing on Instagram is loud, but it’s part of the game now. It’s how you get people’s attention. It’s a risk, but it’s a necessary one,” he explained.

He also spoke about how his in-person demeanor is different from his online persona. “On social media, I’m more energetic and outspoken, but in person, I’m more laid-back. People think I’m always like that, but I’m not,” he admitted.

Despite the challenges, Premo remains committed to growing his brand. “The goal is to keep pushing my music, my movie, and everything else. I’m investing in myself, and I’m ready to take it to the next level,” he said.

Looking ahead to 2025, Premo is focusing on expanding his career. He plans to push his music harder than ever and is working on traveling internationally for business opportunities. “I’ve made my first million, and now it’s all about reinvesting in myself and making more moves,” he said.

Premo also discussed his relationship with his son, who is now seeing his father’s legitimate success. “My son’s getting to witness it now. I want him to know that you don’t have to go through the same things I went through to make it,” he explained.

The interview concluded with a food segment featuring ChefQ from Soul Fusion Cuisines. The chef prepared a salmon dish with spinach, peppers, and a creamy sauce. As Premo sampled the dish, he reflected on his growth and the lessons he’s learned along the way.
