Polo Ralph Lauren has partnered with TÓPA, an Indigenous-led label from the Oceti Sakowin nation, for its ongoing Artist in Residence program. The capsule merges TÓPA’s traditional designs with Polo’s classic fall staples, highlighting craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
The collection features intarsia v-neck sweaters, chore coats, trousers, and standout pieces like a studded leather jacket with four-pointed stars and a mirrored thípi graphic. TÓPA founders Jocy and Trae Little Sky designed the line to honor Indigenous visual traditions while blending modern fashion.
Jocy, Dakota from the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation, and Trae, Oglala Lakota and Stoney Nakoda, preserve ancestral crafts through handmade regalia, quilling, beading, and leatherwork. Jocy emphasized the collaboration celebrates their community, culture, and way of life while inspiring pride and creativity.
Ralph Lauren will donate 5% of each purchase from the Polo Ralph Lauren x TÓPA collection to Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation’s Lakota Language and Education Initiative. The Artist in Residence program, launched in 2023, continues to support heritage craftsmanship through collaborative capsules.
The collection is now available on the Ralph Lauren website.
