PLevel Glo Talks Big Jook’s Early Support, Bankroll Freddie’s Influence & Future Plans.

PLevel Glo is ready to refocus. The East St. Louis rapper recently sat down with Wikid Films podcast to discuss his journey in the music industry, his deep ties with artists like Big Jook, Bankroll Freddie, and Big Boogie, and the challenges that have held him back.

During the interview, PLevel Glo reflected on the early days of his career, crediting Big Jook (Yo Gotti’s late brother) as the first person in the industry to see his potential. “He believed in me before anybody else,” he shared, emphasizing Jook’s role in pushing him toward music. Other industry figures like Youngsta and CMG’s V also vouched for his talent, but PLevel admits he didn’t capitalize on those opportunities at the time.

One of his strongest connections in the industry is with Bankroll Freddie, whom he calls a “brother.” The two formed a close bond before Freddie signed with Quality Control (QC), and their relationship remains strong despite Freddie’s current incarceration. PLevel revealed that Freddie’s sentencing hit him hard, and he still has unreleased music with the rapper that he has yet to drop.

Looking back, PLevel Glo acknowledges that he wasn’t taking music as seriously as he should have. He compares his situation to EST Gee, who took a similar industry opportunity but ran with it, ultimately becoming a major name in hip-hop. “I was playing with it,” he admitted, recognizing that his lack of consistency cost him valuable chances to elevate his career.

PLevel also spoke candidly about the difficulties of balancing street life with a rap career. He noted that industry politics, beefs, and fake networking have made it challenging to perform at clubs and fully break through. The interviewer advised that business relationships don’t always have to be personal, a lesson PLevel is learning as he refocuses on his craft.

With a renewed commitment to music, PLevel Glo is determined to make 2025 his breakout year. He’s planning a three-month run of back-to-back releases and is eyeing collaborations with artists like Sexyy Red, Chicken P, Glow, and Big Boogie.

“I know what I need to do now,” he said. “It’s time to lock in.”
