The most recent episode of Sound Sessions, a weekly web series put on by Grey Goose and the Recording Academy, stars Pink Sweats.
The singer, who is from Philadelphia, opened the show by preparing an espresso martini that made him think of his 2018 hit song “Honesty.” When Pink Sweats entered a coffee shop, the song was always playing and, like the beverage, had a “luxury atmosphere.”
Pink Sweats explained the key components for “Honesty” as he continued to make the drink.
“I’ll say you always start with a good melody; that’s probably the liqueur, that’s the special sauce,” he said. “You get a little pickup with the vocals. I feel like it elevates it, especially when you get to the high notes. I feel like you have to take the ear and the mind on a rollercoaster type of journey.”
