Paul Willis Announces ‘Hip Hop Leadership’ Book Launch in Roxbury.

Paul Willis is set to introduce his latest work, Hip Hop Leadership, with a book launch event on April 29 at Frugal Bookstore in Roxbury, Massachusetts. The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., offering attendees an opportunity to engage with the book’s themes and secure a copy.

The 10-chapter book explores Hip Hop as a framework for leadership, emphasizing values like authenticity, resilience, and entrepreneurship. Willis combines personal narratives, local community case studies, and references from Hip Hop’s mainstream culture to illustrate how the genre fosters leadership development. The book also examines Hip Hop’s influence on identity, activism, education, and industry practices.

Beyond the written work, Hip Hop Leadership is accompanied by an album and curriculum, positioning it as a resource for artists, educators, and changemakers. Willis frames the book as a guide for the Hip Hop generation, particularly its youth, to harness the culture’s impact for systemic change.

Announcing the launch on Instagram, Willis wrote, “Celebrate with us! Pre-order and pick up your copy at the Hip Hop Leadership Book Launch,” tagging collaborators involved in the book’s cover, portraits, and promotional materials.

The event will be held at Frugal Bookstore, located at 57 Warren Street, Roxbury, MA.
