OutKast Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame As Part Of 2025 Class.

OutKast will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class. The duo, André 3000 and Big Boi, has long been recognized for their major influence on Hip-Hop and music as a whole. Although they have not been active as a group for years, their cultural impact remains strong, and this induction adds to their ongoing legacy.

Other 2025 inductees include Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes. Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon will receive the Musical Influence Award, while Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye will be honored with the Musical Excellence Award. Lenny Waronker will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Rock Hall Chairman John Sykes praised the honorees for creating distinct sounds and shaping the course of music history. OutKast’s last album together, Idlewild, came out in 2006, following their Diamond-certified album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, a landmark project in Hip-Hop. In recent years, André 3000 released the instrumental album New Blue Sun in 2023, earning three Grammy nominations, while Big Boi has built a solo discography and collaborated on projects like Big Grams and Big Sleepover.

OutKast celebrated the honor with a career-spanning video on Instagram, with Big Boi calling it “the last infinity stone in the Thanos Glove.” The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
