On Sade Adu’s 64th birthday, Erykah Badu created a remix of the 1988 song “Love Is Stronger Than Pride,” by the British singer who was born in Nigeria.
On Monday, Badu posted a video to Instagram featuring her version of the song, “She Stronger” (January 16). She used a specially made MPC Live that she received for her own birthday in 2022 to produce the 808.
“‘She Stronger’ Sade remix programmed and performed live by e.b.,” Erykah Badu wrote in her caption. “Custom Gold and Woodgrain Coffin for Badu Gold MPC Live by @currycases.”

Stronger Than Pride, Sade’s third studio album released in 1988, included the lead single “Love Is Stronger Than Pride.” The LP received a 3x platinum certification from the RIAA after debuting at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart.
