On Icewear Vezzo’s Paint the City mixtape, which is also the most recent entry in DJ Drama’s well-liked Gangsta Grillz series, guests include 2 Chainz, Kodak Black, and more.

His first project as a member of the Quality Control family, which he formally joined over the summer, the Detroit spitter’s project was delivered on Thursday (December 8).

For Paint the City, Vezzo and Drama enlist a star-studded group of collaborators, with Jeezy and Future among those who contribute their skills to the tape.

The 33-year-old rapper already released Rich Off Pints 3 in July, but he wasn’t done giving fans something to get them through 2023.

Icewear Vezzo gained fame when recording Paint the City by claiming to be the first rapper to record inside a Rolls Royce, following Soulja Boy’s lead.

“Recorded 3 songs in the back of my Ghost last night I’m the First rapper to record a mixtape in a Rolls Royce,” Vezzo wrote in September. “I’m really doing a whole mixtape. I know for a fact I’m the first rapper to record in the back of a Ghost. I ain’t tryna hear none of that shit.”

G Herbo, E-40, and even Soulja Boy himself entered the comment area and gave the Quality Control artist’s hustle their seal of approval.

When he received a Quality Control Records necklace at the Toronto stop of Lil Baby and Chris Brown’s One Of Them Ones tour, the Michigan native swore his commitment to the label in August.

“Help us welcome Detroit’s Very Own @Icewear_Vezzo to #QCTheLabel! Welcome to the family Let’s Run It Up,” the label wrote on Instagram at the time while Vezzo added, “Let’s get it @qcmceo_p boutta turn this shit up to the max #QC x IUR. #WeAreTheCulture.”
