Offset Names Gunna as His Preferred Collaborator and Discusses New Album KIARI.

Offset has worked with many notable artists throughout his career, including Drake, his Migos group members, Travis Scott, JID, Key Glock, and Future. Despite this, the Atlanta rapper says his favorite collaborator is Gunna. In a recent interview on the Full Send Podcast, Offset explained that working with Gunna feels natural because “we just know the pockets to be in, bounce off each other with good ideas.”

The discussion also touched on potential backlash for collaborating with Gunna, who faced scrutiny following his plea deal in December 2022 related to the YSL RICO case. Offset said he hasn’t experienced any issues, stating, “Don’t be my business, so, nah. I don’t see no flak.” He emphasized that he avoids getting involved in conflicts that don’t concern him directly.

Offset also noted that Gunna has remained focused and consistent in his work since the legal ordeal. The collaboration has provided lessons for Offset as well, including advice to tune out distractions and focus on what fans truly appreciate about him. This mindset is especially relevant as he navigates his split from Cardi B and public criticism from her fans.

The conversation covered additional topics, including why Offset does not plan to marry again and his thoughts on Drake, among others. The interview coincides with the release of his third solo album, KIARI, on August 22, which has received positive feedback from fans and critics. Standout tracks include “Different Species” featuring Gunna, “Bodies” with JID, “Enemies,” and “Love You Down.”
