NLE Choppa Reacts Angrily to Being Left Off Complex’s Top 20 Rappers List.

NLE Choppa expressed frustration over Complex’s recent list of the top 20 rappers in their 20s, published on September 12, because he wasn’t included. The Memphis rapper responded with a passionate six-minute rant, criticizing the list’s creators. He said, “Whoever made that list should stick to rock and roll or something else. I’ve been trying to stay positive, but y’all are playing with me.”

Although NLE didn’t discredit those on the list, which featured artists like Cash Cobain, Sexyy Red, Lil Uzi Vert, GloRilla, and Playboi Carti at the top, he felt that the list should have been expanded to include him. “Y’all should’ve made it 21 instead of 20.”

He went on to say that after releasing his upcoming project SLUT SZN at the end of the month, he plans to make a strong comeback. “October, y’all are gonna feel me,” he declared, highlighting his accomplishments, including his age, sales numbers, and sold-out tours worldwide.

NLE Choppa also recently defended his decision to perform at Atlanta’s Black Pride Weekend. During the performance, he voiced support for the LGBTQ+ community, addressing potential backlash by saying, “I’m secure in who I am.” He emphasized that everyone deserves acceptance, regardless of their identity, and assured the crowd that his performance was genuine and not for attention. “I’m here to show love, period,” he said.
