Nintendo To Open New San Francisco Store With Reservations Required For Opening Day.

Nintendo is preparing to open a new retail store in San Francisco, located inside an 11,000-square-foot space connected to the Westin St. Francis Hotel. Though the store’s opening date is set for May 15, key details such as store hours, contact email, and phone number have not yet been released.

Reservations will be required for guests planning to visit on opening day. Nintendo says that sign-ups for day-one access will be available at a later time. After the grand opening, walk-ins will be allowed, but the company notes that private bookings for special occasions will also be possible.

While some fans speculate that the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 could coincide with the store’s debut, Nintendo has not confirmed any product announcements. Additional details about upcoming games and hardware are expected during a Nintendo Direct broadcast scheduled for April 2.

The San Francisco store will carry standard Nintendo products such as consoles and games. It will also offer branded merchandise, including clothing, accessories, home items, and souvenirs. Nintendo has teased store-exclusive items tied to the location and hinted at future special events, possibly including celebrations for Mario Day.

The retail space, which previously housed a BCBGMAXAZRIA store, has remained unused since that brand’s bankruptcy in 2017. Updates about the store, including reservation links and product previews, will be shared on Nintendo’s official X and Instagram accounts in the weeks ahead.
