Nike is set to launch the Nike Mind 002 “Light Smoke Grey” — the first sneaker to debut the brand’s new Nike Mind platform, a decade-long innovation focused on merging neuroscience with athletic performance.
Developed in collaboration with the Nike Mind Science Department, the sneaker aims to enhance mental focus and presence through physical design. Its sole unit features 22 independent foam nodes per shoe, acting like pistons to stimulate sensory points on the foot. This sensory activation is said to help athletes clear distractions and improve concentration before and after competition.
The minimalist design uses a Light Smoke Grey/Photon Dust palette with subtle Chrome Swoosh detailing and vibrant Hyper Crimson nodes that highlight the new technology. The Mind 002 marks Nike’s latest step into performance-driven mindfulness, arriving on January 8, 2026, for $145 USD via Nike.
