Nicki Minaj is celebrating her son Papa Bear’s fourth birthday with a special tribute post on Instagram.
On Monday, Nicki shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos and videos of Papa Bear over the years. In some photos, he’s seen spending time with his dad, Kenneth Perry, while in others, he’s playing with friends or watching TV at home. In her caption, Nicki expressed how much joy he has brought to their lives, giving her a “whole new meaning to life.”
“Dear #PapaBear, Happy 4th birthday, buddy,” Nicki wrote. “You’ve made mama & daddy so happy. Since you were in mama’s tummy, you gave me a whole new meaning to life. Hope. May God watch over you always & guide your path. No weapon formed against you will prosper. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.”
Nicki and Perry welcomed Papa Bear on September 30, 2020, in Los Angeles, but didn’t share him publicly until three weeks later. The rapper tends to keep her family life private and hasn’t revealed Papa Bear’s real name.
Nicki recently shared a mom moment with Rihanna, retweeting a video of RiRi’s son RZA climbing out of his playpen. Nicki humorously related, saying Papa Bear also tried escaping from multiple playpens.
“Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiii who are you TELLING???!!!!!! I’ve literally had to learn 3 new sports!!! Help! handsome self,” Nicki captioned the post. “Papa Bear flattened 3 playpens before we gave up on it. They have superhuman strength & brains and will find a way around any & everything.”
