Nicki Minaj Announces The Title & Date Of Her New Album: The Wait Will Be Worth It

Nicki Minaj promised her Barbz that they would “love” the album when she finally revealed the name and the day it would be released.

The rapper from Pinkprint announced on Twitter on Thursday (June 29) that the long-awaited sequel to 2018’s Queen, Pink Friday 2, will be the follow-up to her 2010 debut.

“Hello Barbz,” For a few days, I’ve been trying to decide when would be the best time to tell you this. I’ve somewhat moved the album release date because of some incredibly exciting news that I’ll share with you guys later,” she tweeted.

“Believe me, the wait will be worthwhile…I’d like to give you guys a small SIP of some more album tea though, since I AM changing the date just a tad, so that I don’t have to get so irate. Here it is: “MY NEW ALBUM IS COMING OUT ON 11.17.23, AND SHE WILL BE NAMED #PINKFRIDAY2.”

“I love you guys so much,” she continued. I am incredibly appreciative of the years of love and support you guys have shown me. Perhaps I didn’t even deserve all the love and support you’ve given me at times. You will, however, adore this record.

Nicki also made plans to travel known, announcing that a tour will follow early in 2019.

The trip will undoubtedly begin in the first quarter of 2024, she stated, adding that she would provide more information closer to the date. At a later time, “I’ll also share the REAL album cover.”

The original Pink Friday was a huge hit that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and gave rise to a number of hit singles, including “Your Love,” “Moment for Life,” and “Super Bass.”

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has now certified the album as 3 platinum. It was also nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2012 Grammy Awards, along with Minaj’s nominations for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance for “Moment 4 Life.”
