Nicki Minaj Announces The Date Of The Release Of Her First Album Since "Queen" In 2018

Nicki Minaj has announced the date for the release of her upcoming fifth studio album, which will be her first album in nearly five years.

Later in 2023, after a string of one-off songs since 2018’s Queen, Minaj will finally deliver what her Barbz have been waiting for.

She revealed “10/20/23 The Album” in a well-liked tweet that as of this writing has amassed over 100k likes.

Eminem, Foxy Brown, Future, and other artists made appearances on Queen, which debuted in August 2018. It debuted with 185,000 album-equivalent units in its first week at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

The platinum-selling one-off song “Megatron” by Nicki Minaj was released in 2019, and it was followed by the record-breaking “Super Freaky Girl” and “Do We Have A Problem” in 2022. A few high-profile collaborations have also been released by her, like as the current number-one single “Princess Diana” with Ice Spice, which made Nicki Minaj the rapper with the most No. 1 hits on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart.

In March 2023, she released the teaser track “Red Ruby (Da Sleeze)” as a warm-up before launching her album. With her impending album and tour, she later declared that this will be her best year yet, promising to “raise the bar to new & unachievable heights.”

The rapper recently said during a Twitter conversation with her Barbz that the work, tentatively dubbed NM5, will be the “best thing that comes out of 2023” and that people will praise it for being “genius.”

Over the weekend, she also admonished those same Barbz for allegedly making her Twitter experience a little bit more x-rated than she had intended.

She tweeted on June 4: “Barbz why is there yet another penis on my TL?” “Lucky for me, I’m feeling fantastic. You all are aware that typically results in an automatic flag on the play and an immediate unfollow. Since you want to be quick in your pants, you have five minutes.

In other developments, it has been confirmed that Ice Spice, Lizzo, and other well-known artists will join Queens native Nicki Minaj on the soundtrack to the next Barbie film.

Additionally, Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Kali, Khalid, Pink Pantheress, Ryan Gosling, Tame Impala, and the Kid LAROI are anticipated to appear on Barbie: The Album. See the complete schedule here.
