Kendrick Lamar and his venture, pgLang, recently contributed to the soundtrack of a short promotional video for Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture Show. The video, written and directed by Dave Free, features Margaret Qualley, Anna Mouglalis, and Naomi Campbell.
Notably, fans were intrigued as the video seemed to include an unreleased Kendrick Lamar track. Against a dynamic instrumental backdrop, synchronized with the tension portrayed by Qualley while attempting to secure a train ticket, Lamar’s vocals become audible around the 0:40 mark.
In a statement shared by Free on Instagram, it was revealed that at the invitation of Virginie Viard, Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free delved into the world of Chanel Haute Couture for the first time, crafting a narrative centered on time and transmission.
The full Haute Couture Show, taking place recently, featured the extended version of Lamar’s song, playing around the 16:00 mark, providing fans with a more comprehensive experience of the newly unveiled track.
