For representing the Toronto rap culture, Nav believes it is time to receive roses. He actually thinks he’s one of the “Top 3” rappers in the city.
Nav just stated in an Instagram Story post that he considers himself to be among Toronto’s best. However, it appears that he has fierce competition.
Drake, Tory Lanez, Belly, and Preme are a few of the city’s exports. The “Myself” rapper, though, asserts that there is “no debate” about the fact that he belongs among the best.
The rapper/producer has previously voiced his strong beliefs on his musical prowess. Nav attacked XXL and its editor-in-chief back in 2018 after not making the Freshman List for that year.
He claimed that the magazine and its yearly list of up-and-comers were no longer relevant.
He posted at the moment, “To my fellow artists,” on social media. “Especially one that hasn’t been dependable for ten years @xxl, we shouldn’t turn to a magazine for approval or to determine if we are ‘hot or not’. Create music for your fans and for yourself. I wouldn’t participate in the Freshman List because I don’t require their endorsement.
He soon followed up with the single “Freshman List,” which he launched in advance of his upcoming Freshman Tour with 88Glam.
Nav has released his single “Lately” in terms of music. Prior to that, he appeared with SoFaygo on the song “Double Faces” by Money Musik.
Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Future, and others all made features on the rapper’s most recent album, Demons Protected by Angels, which was released in September.
There are several singles from the album, such as “Never Sleep,” “Wrong Decisions,” and “One Time.”
At the 2023 Juno Awards, Demons Protected by Angels received nominations for Rap Album/EP of the Year, Album of the Year, and “Wrong Decisions” for Rap Single of the Year.
