Najee Janey Reflects on Block Party Celebration of Legacy and Community in Boston.

Following a weekend celebration, Boston artist Najee Janey shared reflections on the Legendary Block Party held this past Saturday, describing the event as a powerful gathering of “Love, Legacy, History, and Royalty.”

The event featured performances by members of the Most High Kingdom collective and took place on a stage hosted by Black Market Nubian, a cultural and creative hub based in Roxbury. Janey took to social media to express his appreciation for the experience, calling it “the best feeling ever” to perform alongside his community and collaborators.

Also in attendance were artists including Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick The Ruler, $ean Wire, and hoodbuymilk, who contributed to the day’s performances and festivities.

One personal highlight for Janey was seeing a mural featuring himself and his cousins displayed alongside musical legends—a moment he described as “truly a dream come true.”

Janey closed his message with thanks to those who came out and encouraged supporters to stay connected for upcoming events.
