Mozzy Readies Intrusive Thoughts 2, Reflects On Healing, Growth, And West Coast Energy.

Mozzy is back in the studio working on Intrusive Thoughts 2, the follow-up to April’s Intrusive Thoughts. The Sacramento rapper says the album continues exploring personal trauma, grief, and growth, aiming to give younger listeners something real to learn from. “If I can throw a n—a an alley oop… I’m gonna throw it every time,” he says.

He compares Intrusive Thoughts to 2024’s Children of the Slums, noting that the former is more about self-reflection. Despite emotional tolls, he finds the process therapeutic. “I can hear that pain, that trauma,” Mozzy says, recalling a recent lyric about the loss of his friend Skeemo.

Mozzy also speaks on his growth, both personal and professional. He’s “cleaning up his image,” staying out of trouble, and learning to operate within industry expectations since signing to CMG. On navigating fame: “It’s a gangsta party… but I just don’t wanna ever give nobody that corny vibe.”

Intrusive Thoughts 2 will carry the same emotional weight as its predecessor, and Mozzy hints at more collaborations—including a possible EP with Millyz. As for the West Coast? “It’s still a gangsta party,” he says.
