Metro Boomin has announced that his upcoming mixtape, A Futuristic Summa, will drop on July 22. The project will feature 20 tracks and includes guest appearances from Atlanta rappers Quavo, J Money, and Roscoe Dash, who appears on the lead single “Slide.” Other featured artists are expected but have not yet been revealed.
Alongside the mixtape news, Metro shared that producing WWE entrance themes has been a longtime goal of his. On X, he posted: “Would love to produce some WWE entrance themes. It’s a lifelong goal of mine.” Metro was previously featured during WWE’s Bad Blood event. WWE has not yet responded to his interest.
Other rappers have contributed to WWE in the past, including Naughty by Nature, Three 6 Mafia, and Lil Kim. Metro’s frequent collaborator, Travis Scott, has also been involved with WWE recently. Scott appeared at WrestleMania 41, helping John Cena defeat Cody Rhodes by pulling the referee out of the ring and taking a Cross Rhodes finisher from Rhodes.
Scott later shared photos of the moment on Instagram, writing: “I DONT WANT A RECEIPT I WANT BLOOOODDD AFTER JACKBOYS 2 I NEEEEEDDD THAT.” The post references an earlier encounter between Scott and Rhodes at Elimination Chamber, where Scott gave Rhodes a black eye and a ruptured eardrum.
Travis Scott has reportedly started wrestling training, though there is no official word on when he might debut in the ring.
