Megan Thee Stallion Unveils Sultry “Lover Girl” Video Inspired by Klay Thompson

Megan Thee Stallion is stepping into her lover era with confidence. The Houston rapper released her new single “Lover Girl” on Oct. 24, inspired by her relationship with NBA star Klay Thompson, along with a cinematic new music video.

The black-and-white visual blends ’90s glamour and sensual choreography, as Megan performs with four dancers in lingerie, channeling the energy of Beyoncé’s 2011 “Dance for You.” The video features playful and bold moments, including Megan transforming a martini glass stem into a pole and using a chair for an intimate routine. Later, she appears dressed as Cupid, complete with wings and a bow, symbolizing her search for real love.

Toward the end, viewers catch an Easter egg — a mysterious wolf growling in the dark — hinting at what’s next for Megan’s upcoming album rollout.

“Lover Girl” marks Megan’s second single of 2025, following April’s “Whenever.” The rapper has been publicly supportive of Thompson, attending the Dallas Mavericks’ season opener earlier this week and gifting him a sailor-themed diamond chain.
