Megan Thee Stallion says she’s ready for one of the biggest stages in music: the Super Bowl halftime show. Speaking with US Weekly, she explained that performing at the event is a personal goal and a challenge she’d fully embrace. She said she wants to bring a party atmosphere, deliver surprises, and represent Houston while giving fans a full-scale show built for the moment.
The interview follows the success of her single “Lover Girl,” which ended a two-week pause for rap music on the Billboard Hot 100 when it debuted at No. 8 after its October release. Her momentum has also been boosted by support from hip-hop veterans, including Queen Latifah, who recently called Megan “the future of rap music” during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Latifah recalled joining Megan onstage at Coachella, saying the energy and expectations of the crowd made the performance a significant moment.
Megan’s comments arrive as the NFL prepares for another anticipated halftime moment. All eyes now shift to Bad Bunny, who is set to take the stage for the 2025 halftime show on Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
