The Trevor Project has named Megan Thee Stallion as its 2025 Mental Health Champion of the Year, honoring her commitment to mental health awareness and advocacy. The announcement came on October 10, aligning with World Mental Health Day.
In her statement, Megan expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying, “My goal has always been to use my platform to help break stigmas around mental health and provide resources for those seeking safe spaces to have honest and heartfelt conversations.” She added, “Mental health impacts all of us, so it’s important to lead with love and empathy. I’m grateful for organizations like The Trevor Project that are committed to spreading awareness and supporting our LGBTQ+ youth in powerful ways.”
The Houston rapper’s dedication to mental health has been evident through initiatives such as her 2022 wellness website Bad B—hes Have Bad Days Too, which offers mental health resources, crisis hotlines, and therapy contacts. She also partnered with the Seize the Awkward campaign in 2023 to help destigmatize conversations around mental health.
Earlier in 2025, Megan hosted the first Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City, raising over $1.2 million to support underserved communities, including programs focused on education, housing, and mental health.
While keeping a low profile musically this year, Megan released her single “Whenever” in April and recently teased a new track titled “Kissin You,” which samples Total, hinting at her next musical chapter.
