Megan Thee Stallion Announces New Anime Series For Prime Video And Launches Swimwear Collection.

Megan Thee Stallion is creating her own anime series for Prime Video. She announced the project on May 30 at DreamCon while dressed as Yoruichi Shihōin from Bleach. The series is a collaboration with Carl Jones, known for his work on The Boondocks. Megan teased the project by saying, “You ain’t never seen an anime like this ever in your life,” but did not reveal further details.

Megan has spoken often about her love for anime. In 2020, she worked with Crunchyroll on an anime-inspired streetwear line tied to her “Savage” video. She also told Crunchyroll in an interview, “I’m half anime character, half rapper,” and explained how anime characters’ growth mirrors her own path. “You grow with the character. You see all the trials and tribulations they go through,” she said.

One day before her anime reveal, Megan debuted her Hot Girl Summer swimwear collection at PARAISO Miami Swim Week. The 18-piece collection features bikinis, monokinis, cover-ups, and more, priced between $16 and $28. It is available at Walmart stores, Walmart’s website, and Megan’s own website. “It was only right that we kick off Hot Girl Summer with this launch,” she said. “I used to shop at Walmart growing up, so it’s a full circle to have my own line available at Walmart.”
