Max B and French Montana Announce New Project ‘Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos’

Max B is preparing for his first full-length project since returning home, teaming up once again with longtime collaborator French Montana for Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos.

The announcement arrived on Instagram, confirming a January 9, 2026 release date. The Coke Wave series holds a central place in both artists’ catalogs, beginning with the first installment in February 2009 and the follow-up in November of the same year. While the long-rumored third chapter never materialized, the pair released Coke Wave 4 in 2019, making this new installment a return to unfinished business.

It remains to be seen whether Coke Wave 3.5 will include new collaborators, shift the sound of earlier projects, or revisit the signature style Max and French crafted over a decade ago. Regardless of the direction, the project marks a significant moment for fans who have been waiting years for Max B’s next chapter.

Max B recently began rebuilding momentum with the release of “No More Tricks,” the lead single from his upcoming solo album Public Domain 07: The First Purge. With two separate series now active; Coke Wave and Public Domain, there is potential for steady output from the Harlem artist as 2026 approaches. Whether Coke Wave 3.5 arrives with additional singles beforehand or drops without any lead-up, the early-year release adds energy to the upcoming hip-hop cycle.

After a busy and eventful few weeks, Max B’s focus is back on music. The forthcoming collaboration with French Montana signals a new phase for both artists as they revisit a series that helped shape their rise.
