Master P Named Entertainment Ambassador For Super Bowl LIX, Aims To Elevate New Orleans On The World Stage.

Master P is gearing up to make a big impact on the NFL as he takes on the role of the official “entertainment ambassador” for the upcoming Super Bowl. This announcement was made by New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell during a press conference on Friday, August 30.

Super Bowl LIX will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025. During the press conference, Mayor Cantrell outlined various plans for the event and beyond, highlighting Master P’s appointment as the entertainment ambassador. She praised him for embodying the resilience of the community and demonstrating that “there’s no limit when you put your mind to achieving great things for New Orleans.”

“We are announcing Master P as the New Orleans entertainment ambassador,” the mayor stated.

The initiative, described by Mayor Cantrell as a “No Limit platform,” aims to foster educational and cultural opportunities in New Orleans. It will be a collaborative effort involving local entertainment advisors across film, television, and music, with plans to provide classes that teach entertainment business skills and other initiatives that Master P can expand upon.

The mayor emphasized that Master P has the influence to attract more significant events and opportunities to New Orleans, positioning him as a key figure in enhancing the city’s global cultural presence.

Taking the stage after the mayor, Master P spoke about his vision for the city, stressing the importance of bridging the wealth gap and investing in the community. “We need to teach entrepreneurship and leadership, especially to the younger generation,” he said. “I want to see more growth for New Orleans.”

Earlier this year, Master P had expressed interest in pursuing a coaching role with the NBA, specifically with his hometown team, the New Orleans Pelicans. He believed the team had potential and suggested that with his involvement, they could win a championship in the near future.

“Y’all need to put me on the coaching staff next year, and we’ll win the whole thing,” he confidently told the team’s management.
