Master P released a surprise album titled The No Limit 5K Mix: Lost Tapes. The 25-track project features previously unreleased material from the New Orleans legend, with guest appearances from Lil Wayne, NBA YoungBoy, Nipsey Hussle, Gucci Mane, E-40, Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, and more.
Master P says the release was inspired by revisiting his archives. “I had all these songs I never did nothing with,” he explained. “Then the song I did with Lil Wayne inspired me because we’re both from New Orleans. This is a celebration. I’m giving it to the fans — all my No Limit Soldiers — old and new.”
The album arrived on YouTube in collaboration with a Verzuz event, which celebrates the legacies of No Limit and Cash Money — two defining forces in Southern hip-hop.
While the drop comes during a major moment for New Orleans rap, it may also mark Master P’s final full-length release, following his previous comments about stepping away from music. Still, The No Limit 5K Mix: Lost Tapes serves as both a reflection on his legacy and a bridge for younger fans discovering his catalog.
