Marathon Burger To Open In Los Angeles As Tribute To Nipsey Hussle’s Legacy.

March 31 will mark six years since Nipsey Hussle was killed outside his Marathon Clothing store. To honor his legacy, The Marathon (Brand) is launching Marathon Burger, set to open on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

The grand opening is scheduled for March 1, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12 p.m. PT. The first 100 customers will receive free meals. In a statement, The Marathon (Brand) team emphasized that this expansion into the restaurant industry aligns with Nipsey’s original vision of creating a full lifestyle brand across music, fashion, food, and entertainment.

March will also be a busy month for the Neighborhood Nip Foundation, which is participating as a charity partner in the Los Angeles Marathon on March 16. Marathon Burger and The Marathon Clothing are sponsoring a team of runners for the event.

Nipsey Hussle was killed on March 31, 2019, at the age of 33. His killer, Eric R. Holder, was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison in 2023 after being convicted of first-degree murder.
