This past weekend, Mac held a star-studded concert in his hometown to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his major label debut album, Shell Shocked.
The former No Limit soldier performed on stage at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA, on Friday, July 21. The Third Ward native brought along his former labelmates Mia X and Fiend in addition to himself.
In 1998, Mac released Shell Shocked, his second solo album and debut for No Limit Records. Video from the album’s anniversary performance shows that fans still adore the “Boss Chick” rapper’s song today, just as they did when it was first released more than twenty years ago.
In 1998 and 1999, Mac released two solo albums on No Limit Records, titled Shell Shocked and WWIII, and in 2000, he also contributed to the 504 Boyz album Goodfellas. On the Billboard 200, his Shell Shocked LP peaked at No. 11.
