Logic Guarsanties To 'protect' His Dad With New Record Deal In Touching On-Stage Moment

The once-tense relationship between Logic and his father is still being repaired, and the rap icon has promised to look after for the 69-year-old by signing him to his record company.

The Maryland rapper interrupted his performance at a recent stop on his College Park tour to give fans a glimpse into the complex relationship with his father (actual name Robert Bryson Hall), as he revealed in a post on Instagram on Saturday (June 10).

Logic recalls telling his father, “Why do you always ask me for money.” You are aware of what he says? “I’m not sure,” I believe it’s simply the case that I lack confidence in my financial situation since I want to provide for your younger brother. I therefore announced, “You know what dad, I’m gonna do an album with you.” I’m going to explain to you what it means to own a business and about Black ownership.

Before having his dad sign a record deal with Bobby Boy Records, Logic then went on to bring his dad on stage and assure him that he will surround him with all of his resources to ensure his financial security.

He said, “Dad, I want to make sure you’re safe.” And while we create this album, I want to immediately sign my 69-year-old father to Bobby Boy Records so that he is protected and has access to the best lawyers in the fucking business. Give him what he has always desired.

Both men embraced after signing the contract, which prompted his father to declare, “I love this boy.” The opener to “Homicide,” Logic and Eminem’s 2019 joint album, was then recited by him with a few minor changes. “When he came out of my balls, n-gga, I knew he was going to be a star,” said the actor. The song was then performed by Logic.

There were times when Logic and his father didn’t get along so well. On comedian Andrew Santino’s Whiskey Ginger podcast last month, the rapper remembered a time when his father unexpectedly demanded $1 million from him after not seeing him for some time.

Their disagreement over his father’s desire forced them to stop talking for a while again, and when they tried to get back together again later, it was the same old song.

Logic said, “Last time I talked to my dad, he asked me for a million dollars.” I didn’t give it to him, fuck no. I want a million dollars, he declared. ‘For what?’ I questioned. For my band, he added, “so we can buy a house and write music in it.” ‘What?’ I say in surprise. So when we are back together, I beg him not to ask me for money. Can we please simply throw a catch or something? And he responds, “Okay! Alright.’”

The speaker said, “This muthafucka flies in, disappears for six hours, and then says, ‘I need you to purchase me a truck.’ Immediately! The next sentence continues, “I need you to pay all my bills.” after that

Since entering the rap industry, Logic has been outspoken about his troubles with his father. He once described how his father stole his identity when he was just 10 years old.

Logic admitted to VIBE in 2014 that his father “never really lived with me and when he did live with us he would steal things.” “I recall that he once took my identity. My name is Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, and he is Robert Bryson Hall. He obtained about 10 credit cards in my name using my social security number, and he bought things and used them all. If I hadn’t been 10 years old when the government discovered this, my credit might have already been destroyed.
