A magnificent short video based on songs from Little Simz’s superb new album No Thank You was just published by the Londoner.
The 10-minute video, which Gabriel Moses directed, features Simz in a variety of distinct tableaus set to various album samples. For the songs “X,” “Silhouette,” and “Broken,” Simz appears as a giant ruling over a flock, performs a complex dance, and then steps out of the spotlight in favor of some dramatic, somber symbolism.
The video ends with Simz’s meditation on the perils of fame, “Heart On Fire,” which she performs here while a hungry mob of affluent onlookers presses in on her. The video is below.
