Lil Wayne has said that this spring would be spent on the road.
Weezy said on Tuesday, January 31, that he will be working with Young Money, Rolling Loud, and Live Nation on the Welcome To Tha Carter tour, which will visit 28 cities.
The tour begins on April 4 at The Fillmore in Minneapolis and travels through a number of additional cities, including Detroit, Toronto, Houston, and New York, before coming to an end on May 13 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Live Nation will start selling tickets on Friday, February 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
Before The Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective pre-Grammy event, where Lil Wayne is scheduled to receive the Global Impact Award in recognition of his illustrious contributions to the music business, the tour announcement was made. His “favorite rapper,” Missy Elliott, and Dr. Dre will also be honored.
