Lil Wayne has released his new album Tha Carter VI, the latest in his long-running series, arriving seven years after Tha Carter V. The 19-track project, released on June 6 through Young Money/Republic Records, features guest appearances from Big Sean, Machine Gun Kelly, 2 Chainz, Bono, Kodak Black, Jelly Roll, Mannie Fresh, and others. The album artwork includes a digitally modified childhood photo of Lil Wayne, continuing the theme from earlier entries in the series.
The album is available in multiple formats, including a 2xLP vinyl edition and standard CD, through retailers such as Complex Shop. Vinyl copies feature updated artwork and analog-quality audio. Previous volumes in Tha Carter series are also available for purchase.
To support the release, Wayne has announced Tha Carter VI Tour, a 34-date North American run beginning June 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This marks his first time headlining the venue. The tour includes stops in Toronto, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, and concludes on October 2 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington will join as special guests, with NoCap appearing on select dates. A Hot Boys reunion is scheduled for the Oklahoma City show on September 22.
Tickets for the tour are available at LiveNation.com.
