Lil Wayne Prefers Watching Skateboarding Videos On His Phone To Going Out To Parties

Despite over three decades of experience in the industry, Lil Wayne no longer finds clubs to be as fulfilling as his other interests.

On Sunday, February 5, the renowned rapper was seen having a good time at a post-Grammys party in Los Angeles, but it wasn’t because of the alcohol or the music.

Instead, while everyone else partied around him, Tunechi was contentedly sat and thrilled with the skating video he was enjoying on his phone.

The celebration capped off a very hectic weekend for Weezy, who received the Global Impact Award at the first-ever Recording Academy Honors prior to the awards ceremony. Drake sent his former instructor plenty of praise in a pre-recorded message that was played during the ceremony even though he wasn’t there in person.

“I know I probably get annoying with saying how much you mean to me and my family, but I think I speak on behalf of everybody when I say that our careers, our cadences, our melodies, maybe our face tats or our outfits or our decisions in general would not have been the same without your natural gift to just be yourself,” Drizzy said in a video tribute.

The Last Supper-inspired performance of “God Did” by Lil Wayne, JAY-Z, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, John Legend, and Fridayy served as the awards show’s finale.
