Lil Wayne And Hot Boys Reunite At Dreamville Fest After Tour And Album Tease.

Lil Wayne and the Hot Boys reunited once again during J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival on Saturday night, April 5. Their set followed a series of performances earlier in the evening that included 21 Savage, PartyNextDoor, Ludacris, Ari Lennox, and Chief Keef.

The group performed several songs from their catalog, many of which defined an era of Southern rap. Their appearance follows a brief tour earlier this year where they reunited on stage. The Dreamville performance was part of the festival’s first night. The event concludes on Sunday with performances by Erykah Badu, Tems, GloRilla, and a closing set from J. Cole.

During their recent shows, the Hot Boys attracted attention when Birdman appeared to fall asleep during one performance. In an interview with XXL, B.G. explained that Birdman had trouble reading the teleprompter and that the group found humor in the situation afterward.

In May 2023, Juvenile mentioned during an Instagram Live that the Hot Boys had begun working on a group album. While no additional updates have been confirmed, the members — Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Turk, and B.G. — appeared together on stage in New Orleans with Mannie Fresh and Birdman that same month.

Separately, Lil Wayne has announced that he will release a new solo album in June. The project will be the sixth entry in his Tha Carter series. His most recent album in the series, Tha Carter V, was released in 2018. He shared a promotional video last week to mark the upcoming release.
