Over the weekend, Lil Uzi Vert brought the party to Rolling Loud Miami by transforming their stage into the neighborhood strip bar Booby Trap.
On Sunday, July 23, Uzi performed on the GoPuff stage for night three of the festival, coming on moments before A$AP Rocky, the night’s closing performance.
The women danced and the dollar bills flew throughout the show, raising the audience’s enthusiasm to a high level.
Lil Uzi Vert made sure to include a few songs from their most recent album, The Pink Tape, which Joe Budden is reportedly not a fan of, among the numerous tracks they performed.
Earlier this month, the former Slaughterhouse MC voiced his thoughts on The Joe Budden Podcast. While he attempted to lessen the blow with his opening remarks, he also made it quite clear that Uzi’s efforts were, at best, extremely incompetent.
On the most recent episode of his self-titled podcast, he declared, “Uzi did respond to the statements he’s been making about ‘experimental tapes,’ and ‘the real tape is coming,’ blasé bah. “He discussed it with Ak [Akademiks],”
“Now, I appreciate any artist who is trying, so I don’t want to detract from that,” he concluded. But that was complete nonsense. Because once you sell it to me, that is irrelevant. You’re no longer trying, so it’s not… You are selling this as your product. You ought to have taken care of that shit before you arrived if the plumber was coming over to mend something and wanted to try out some new techniques. Fix the shit after you’ve been here to perform the job. Avoid experimenting.
Joe may not have been a fan, but Pink Tape has been very complimentary of Lil Uzi Vert. In fact, they will be performing songs from the album (as well as other songs) at the IYKYK Festival in Phoenix.
On September 9 at Phoenix Raceway, the rapper will perform alongside Metro Boomin and Denzel Curry. Lil Uzi Vert will make his first headline festival performance in Arizona at the IYKYK Music Festival, which aims to highlight Hip Hop culture, art, fashion, and more.
