Lil Uzi Vert has entered a new phase with the release of their latest song and video, “Chanel Boy.” On Monday (Nov. 24), Uzi announced they had signed with Roc Nation Distribution, becoming one of only three artists to be both managed by Roc Nation and signed to its distribution arm, alongside Jay-Z and Rihanna. The new deal allows Uzi to fully own their masters and includes an agreement with Roc Nation Publishing.
Roc Nation Distribution President Krystian Santini shared that the partnership aims to support Uzi’s growth while giving them full creative control and the resources to continue expanding their artistry. On streaming platforms, “Chanel Boy” appears under Cor(e) and Roc Nation Distribution.
The new track, produced by ZeeGoinXrazy, features Uzi asserting their continued momentum with confident lyrics. The release follows Eternal Atake 2, which arrived in November of last year through Generation Now and Atlantic Records. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and served as a sequel to 2020’s Eternal Atake, which drew partial inspiration from Heaven’s Gate and sparked conversations with individuals connected to the group’s intellectual property.
Outside of music, Uzi recently earned recognition for their style, landing at No. 10 on Complex’s list of the best-dressed celebrities of the 21st century, joining names such as A$AP Rocky, Timothée Chalamet, and Teyana Taylor.
