Instead of giving fans a deluxe edition of Pink Tape any time soon, Lil Uzi Vert has his sights set on another album.
Uzi, who is 27 years old, refused to answer a question regarding the prospect of a Pink Tape deluxe on a live stream while playing Call of Duty over the weekend and instead hinted at a forthcoming new album.
They said, “Nah, I’m gonna drop a whole ‘nother album.”
It was clear that the viewers were excited to hear about Uzi’s plans for a new project, but given that Pink Tape and Eternal Atake were three years apart, it might be a good idea to temper their enthusiasm.
Fans, however, have plenty of music to keep in rotation thanks to Pink Tape’s 26 tracks, which also include three bonus songs. Some would also argue that a deluxe version might not have been necessary in the first place.
In any event, Pink Tape is anticipated to become the first rap album to top the Billboard 200 this year, and Lil Uzi Vert is expected to put a stop to Hip Hop’s chart woes in 2023.
The project is expected to generate between 220,000 and 250,000 equivalent album units in its first week, which would be sufficient to guarantee a No. 1 debut on the chart.
Nicki Minaj’s “Endless Fashion” is one of Pink Tape’s most well-known songs. With 1.617 million streams, the sensational duet debuted at No. 6 on the American Spotify rankings, according to Chart Data.
The Young Money rapper recently talked about the rigorous recording procedure for the song in order to meet the album deadline for Uzi. Nicki said on Twitter shortly after the album’s release that she spent ten hours crafting her guest rap before submitting it at the last minute.
She continued by saying that she had to keep asking Uzi for more time while reassuring him that she would deliver before the deadline.
“Girl I began around 8 am and concluded about 5 pm. When I tell you that by the time I was through, I was fatigued. Lol. She replied to JT, Uzi’s girlfriend, who had praised her for “how fast you turned your verse in,” saying, “B/c I was hurrying to get it in on time.
“I kept telling him ’30 mins,’ then I struck him back two hours later with a TB and another 15-20 minutes with an uzi! I did that ALL DAY LONG YO!”
The lengthy album also includes contributions from Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Babymetal, and Bring Me The Horizon in addition to Nicki.
