Lil Durk has released the official music video for “Went Hollywood For A Year,” the second single from his ninth studio album, Love Songs 4 the Streets 3.

The song was first teased on January 27, 2024, with a tweet revealing its title: “Went Hollywood for a year – I’m sorry ❤️‍🩹.” On June 20, 2024, Durk shared a snippet of the track on TikTok. A few days later, on June 25, 2024, he posted a pre-save link, revealing the release date of June 28, 2024, along with a snippet of the music video.

“Went Hollywood For A Year,” recorded during a Father’s Day dinner with all of his children, is a deeply personal track. It chronicles the ups and downs of the past year, including struggles with addiction, losing himself, dealing with fame, and ultimately finding a renewed sense of purpose.
