KNG-DVD Reflects on the Quiet Release of “ANITA”.

On July 20TH, KNG-DVD quietly released his latest track, “ANITA”, without a major rollout or heavy promotional campaign. A week after the song’s release, the rapper took to social media to share some reflections on the process and the meaning behind the drop.

In his post, KNG-DVD acknowledged the absence of a traditional push, writing: “BEEN NEARLY A WEEK SINCE ANITA DROPPED. NO LOUD PUSH, NO BIG CAMPAIGN… JUST A RECORD I BELIEVED IN.” He thanked listeners who discovered the song organically and shared a message encouraging other creatives not to hold back their work out of fear of imperfection.

Alongside the release, KNG-DVD credited several collaborators for helping bring the project to life. The track was produced by strobeiw, with cover art by balmainsoldier. He also gave a shoutout to Copper Collective and Moses Sibley for their role in developing the visual direction for the project.

ANITA is now available on all major streaming platforms.
