King Von Fans Hope His Estate Doesn’t ‘mess Up’ Newly Announced ‘grandson’ Album

Fans have reacted differently to King Von’s second posthumous production, Grandson The Album, according to the release date that his estate has declared.

The album’s cover art shows a black and white image of King Von’s son wearing his trademark fitting hat and hefty O’Block and OTF chains. It is scheduled to be released on July 14.

Many people expressed hope that the project will perform better than last year’s What It Means To Be King album in the comments that flooded the Instagram post.

One admirer commented, “Y’all better not mess this album up,” and another, “I hope this not like how they did pop smoke records. don’t do king like that!”

There were doubts as to whether this would be the rapper’s deceased discography’s last release. “I take it that this is the last album? I hope you all send him off on the proper foot,” one commentator said.

G Herbo, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Fivio Foreign, Tee Grizzley, Moneybagg Yo, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and other artists contributed to the project as assistants.

Anthony Malone of HipHopDX gave the album a mediocre review rating of 3.5/5 stars and explained how it didn’t help or harm Von’s legacy.

On November 6, 2020, King Von (real name Dayvon Bennett) was tragically shot and killed outside an Atlanta hookah lounge while arguing with Quando Rondo and his group. He was only 26 years old.

Timothy Leeks, also known as Lul Timm, the alleged shooter, was detained and accused of murder before being freed in March 2021 on a $100,000 bond.
