It looks like Lil Baby has started construction on his own barbershop in Atlanta. He is constantly seeking ways to give back to his community.
Lil Baby’s Barbershop appears to be well under construction, as the 4PF boss gave fans a sneak peek of its development in a TikTok video posted over the weekend.
“Barbershop is under construction.” “I’ma show y’all once it’s done,” he captioned the clip, which showed him having his hair cut by renowned barber Vic Blends.
“Let’s go ahead and open one for the city,” Lil Baby added in the comments section. Although the exact opening date of Baby’s Barbershop is unknown, judging from the TikTok video, it might not be too long.
As Killer Mike’s SWAG Shop, which stands for “Shave, Wash, and Groom,” has three locations throughout the city, including one inside the State Farm Arena, Lil Baby won’t be the first rapper to establish a barbershop in Atlanta.
“Once I became an established rapper and once I got my respect up there, the only other thing I’d ever dreamed about doing was owning a barbershop,” Mike said in a Noisey documentary in 2015.
“Barbershops are one of the most successful businesses in our community, yet there’s no real organization in terms of franchising, so I had the idea that I would like to see a series of barbershops whether privately owned or franchised that you knew when you landed in the city, I could go to this particular barbershop and I get this level of customer service.”
Following the release of his most recent album, It’s Only Me, which featured guest performances from Future, Young Thug, EST Gee, and others, Lil Baby announced that he would open a barbershop.
The prediction became the third-biggest Hip Hop debut of 2022 after Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers (295,000) and Future’s I Never Liked You (216,000 album-equivalent units). It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (222,000).
