Killer Mike Confirms Andre 3000 Is Preparing New Album

Killer Mike has confirmed speculations that André 3000 is really working on a new solo album while he is touring the world.

Killer Mike spoke on Sway’s Universe on Wednesday (June 21) to discuss his critically acclaimed Michael album and to reveal what 3 Stacks’ upcoming project will sound like.

The Run The Jewels rapper answered Sway’s questions, “Yeah, I guess we fly out in a couple weeks to go listen to it. Killer Mike is even aware that André 3000 has nine unreleased songs.

Wow, that’s incredible. Sway affirmed, “André 3000 has an album coming up.

In his career, André 3000 has yet to put out a solo album; Idlewild, released by Outkast in 2006, was his most recent studio album.

Since they have been longtime friends, Killer Mike has also verified that the two had worked together on another song, which includes around seven minutes of rapping from 3 Stacks.

The tune was praised by Charlamagne Tha God during Killer Mike’s recent appearance at The Breakfast Club. “Killer Mike played me a record one time with him and André, I’m not even joking this is one of the greatest Hip Hop records, just musical records I’ve ever heard in my life,” he said. It’s incredible. What you guys are doing on this record is beyond my ability to describe.

In response, Killer Mike said, “There’s another Killer Mike and Dre feature, and all we have to do is make this album hit No. 1 and make the guys from the label really, really happy, and I’ll be back next year. Seven and five minutes, or almost 12 minutes. Raps that are stacked last longer. You get to rap longer when you’re attractive because all the girls like you.

Even Killer Mike’s Michael album single “Science & Engineers,” on which 3 Stacks raps alongside Future and Eryn Allen Kane, has him as a guest performer.

Numerous A-list celebrities, including Curren$y, Mozzy, 2 Chainz, CeeLo Green, 6LACK, EL-P, Blxst, Ty Dolla $ign, Jagged Edge, Kaash Paige, and others, contribute to Michael’s production.

Mike said of the album, “This is my come-home moment musically,” to Zane Lowe of Apple Music. It combines gospel, soul, funk, and hip-hop.

“And from a moral perspective, I was taught morality through the Black Southern Christian church, which gave rise to the abolitionist struggle and some of the most beautiful music ever as well as the civil rights movement. And I feel like I’m doing my best to respect that and find my place.
