Kid Cudi's 'Day 'n' Nite' Goes Diamond, Celebrating A New Milestone In His Legendary Career.

Kid Cudi’s iconic track “Day ‘n’ Nite” has reached new heights. Originally a hit when it debuted in 2008, the song has gained fresh popularity thanks to TikTok snippets. On Friday, Sept. 13, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded the single diamond certification.

As of last August, the song was certified eight times multi-platinum, having sold 10 million digital units. It peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. While it didn’t win, losing to Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Rihanna’s “Run This Town,” the song’s recent achievement is a victory in itself.

In addition to “Day ‘n’ Nite,” Cudi’s other hits “Up Up & Away” and “Pursuit of Happiness (Nightmare)” also received new certifications, at two-times and five-times multi-platinum, respectively. Cudi expressed his gratitude on X, thanking his loyal fans:

“Wow, the blessings keep comin. This is HUGE,” he wrote. “Y’all did this, man. I’m so thankful for the love and support over the past 16 years, and I’m not planning to stop anytime soon.”

He added, “To anyone who bumped this song and still does today, I love you!! 🥹❤️‍🔥🙏🏾 12 X PLATINUM BABY.”

Cudi, who released his latest album Insano (Nitro Mega) earlier this year, is set to drop his next album in 2026.
