After hearing the response to a preview of his brand-new track, “Flex,” Kid Cudi claims he has plans to “pivot” his album release.
The preview of the rapper’s new song, “Flex,” that was posted on TikTok didn’t exactly win over the rapper’s fans, and they didn’t hold back in telling him as much. Cudi’s article appears to have vanished from the internet as a result of the responses from the fans.
The native of Cleveland posted an explanation of the issue on Twitter on Saturday, May 20. Cudi said he values the opinions of his fans and that he will be releasing a new single on June 2nd.
“You guys are my family and fans!” I hear you guys! I’m shifting. Different single June 2nd!!” He composed.
The rapper recently discussed a different song he had been working on but hadn’t yet published. Kid Cudi claimed last week that Playboi Carti refused to give him permission to clean a song for his next album.
The rapper tweeted his annoyance last week and shared a few teases in addition.
Cudi said that Carti hasn’t given him permission to use the song, which he views is a “very weak” move, in response to a fan who inquired about if his unreleased “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV” duet with Carti will feature on the album.
He wrote, “He won’t clear it, which is quite weak. Thus, it won’t be listed there. Which is okay because the material I have on this record will make your faces melt.
For the first time, Kid Cudi performed “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV” during his To The Moon Tour stop in Paris in November 2022.
