Kid Cudi is currently working on a new album and has teased a song with Steve Aoki that will likely appear on it.
The native of Cleveland performed over the weekend at the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, where he shared the stage with Steve Aoki during the latter’s mainstage set.
Video from the occasion shows the duo promoting Cudder’s newest album, Insano, and introducing a brand-new project called “Electrowave Baby 2.0.” The performance took place on Saturday, July 29, and the video quickly gained popularity online.
One supporter uploaded a video and wrote the following caption: “Bruh @KiDCuDi is him [three fire emojis] this Shit so dope man [two exclamation-mark emojis] been the goat.” Soon later, Cudi reposted the article with the caption “The madnesssssss!!!!”.
Regarding his other All-Star projects, Cudi seems to have changed his mind and is now reassuring fans that his on-again, off-again collaborative record with Travis Scott is still in the works.
He reiterated on Friday (July 28), after shocking fans with his presence on “LOOOVE” from Scott’s recently released UTOPIA, that ideas for a full tracklist by the two are once more a possibility.
When queried about the album’s progress by a Travis Scott fan page, he replied, “Its def happening at some point.” Don’t even stumble.
The album won’t be released this year, though, as Cudi wants to make sure it’s great and a “moment for the culture.”
Kid Cudi said, “He just dropped.” “And we must take our time to do it correctly. I want to write a ton of songs, choose the best ones, and truly make it a cultural event. We only get one first album, so it has to be the worst. UTOPIA! for the time being.
