Kid Cudi and Lola Abecassis Sartore announced on July 11 that they are married, having held a wedding ceremony in the South of France on June 28. The rapper, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, shared photos on Instagram, calling the day “truly special” and expressing his deep love for Sartore. He described their relationship as a close bond, referring to her as his best friend and “ride or die.”
The couple first met in 2018 at a Virgil Abloh fashion show. Sartore, a former Louis Vuitton designer and current head designer at ERL, and Cudi got engaged in 2023. Vogue reported that the ceremony took place at Cap Estel in Èze, near Sartore’s hometown. The bride wore a gown designed by her close friend Alain Paul, who also served as her “bridesman” during the wedding. Sartore described the event as a “moment out of time” focused solely on their love.
This personal milestone comes shortly after Cudi testified in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial. During the proceedings, Cudi claimed Combs broke into his Los Angeles home and vandalized his car, reportedly due to anger over Cudi’s past relationship with Cassie Ventura. Combs was found not guilty of sex-trafficking and racketeering charges but will serve time for a prostitution conviction. He has denied all allegations made during the trial.
In other news, Kid Cudi is preparing to release his upcoming album, Free, on August 22. So far, he has released two singles from the project, titled “Grave” and “Neverland.”
